With the passage of Senate Bill 293, Nevada joined the nationwide trend towards greater pay transparency. As of October 1, 2021, employers in Nevada can no longer ask applicants for wage or salary history information and must provide salary ranges or wage rates to applicants and some employees under certain circumstances. While many employers had already implemented these changes, Senate Bill 293 made it a requirement.
