In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, Congress is set to pass the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which would provide, among other things, paid sick leave for workers, strengthened unemployment insurance benefits, and expanded protections under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). President Trump has already expressed approval for the legislation. As with everything with the Coronavirus, employers are trying to understand and implement appropriate measures to ensure workers are safe and the company can continue to operate during the pandemic and after.
