Nevada Workplace Poster Requirements for Employers

Nevada employers are required to display various state and federal workplace notices informing employees about their rights.

Posting requirements can change as laws, wage rates, and employment requirements are updated. Using an old labor law poster year after year can therefore leave an employer displaying outdated information.

Nevada Association of Employers (NAE) helps businesses stay current with Nevada and federal workplace posting requirements.

What Labor Law Posters Are Required in Nevada?

Required posters depend on factors including the employer’s size, industry, workforce, and applicable employment laws.

Nevada’s Office of the Labor Commissioner identifies multiple notices and bulletins that employers may be required to display.

These can include notices addressing:

  • Nevada wage-and-hour rules
  • Minimum wage
  • Daily overtime
  • Paid leave
  • Domestic violence and sexual assault leave
  • Other Nevada employment protections

Federal posting requirements may apply in addition to Nevada requirements.

Nevada Minimum Wage Poster

Nevada employers must display the applicable minimum wage bulletin.

Nevada’s minimum wage is currently $12.00 per hour.

The Nevada Labor Commissioner publishes an annual minimum wage bulletin, and employers should verify that the current version is displayed.

Nevada Daily Overtime Poster

Nevada employers should also review the state’s annual daily overtime bulletin.

As of July 1, 2026, Nevada’s daily overtime threshold is based on the state’s $12.00 minimum wage, making the applicable 1½-times threshold $18.00 per hour.

Employers should replace outdated annual bulletins when updated versions become effective.

Other Nevada Required Notices

Depending on the employer and workforce, additional Nevada notices may address subjects such as:

  • Paid leave
  • Domestic violence and sexual assault leave
  • Workers’ compensation
  • Unemployment insurance
  • Workplace safety
  • Pregnancy accommodations
  • Employee rights and wage rules
  • Industry-specific requirements

Employers should determine which requirements apply to their organization rather than assuming one generic poster covers every workplace.

Federal Workplace Posters

Federal law also requires covered employers to display applicable notices.

Depending on the organization, federal posters can include notices involving:

  • Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Equal Employment Opportunity
  • Family and Medical Leave Act
  • Occupational Safety and Health
  • Employee Polygraph Protection Act
  • USERRA

Additional notices can apply to federal contractors and employers in particular industries.

Where Should Workplace Posters Be Displayed?

Required notices generally need to be displayed in conspicuous locations where employees can readily see them.

Common locations include:

  • Employee break rooms
  • Near time clocks
  • Employee entrances
  • HR areas
  • Other frequently accessed employee spaces

Placing required posters in an office employees rarely visit may not satisfy applicable posting requirements.

What About Remote Employees?

Remote and hybrid work has made poster compliance more complicated.

Employers with employees who do not regularly report to a physical workplace should evaluate whether electronic access or additional methods are appropriate or required under the particular law.

Employers should not assume that placing a poster in a corporate office hundreds of miles away is sufficient for every remote worker.

How Often Should Employers Update Labor Law Posters?

No universal rule requires every workplace poster to be replaced on January 1.

Instead, employers should update notices when applicable laws or required poster content changes.

Nevada publishes annual minimum wage and daily overtime bulletins, so these notices deserve particular attention.

NAE Labor Law Posters

Employers that do not want to track every individual state and federal posting change independently can use NAE’s Labor Law Poster resources.

NAE helps Nevada businesses stay informed about workplace requirements and changes affecting employers.

Include Posters in Your HR Audit

Required postings are easy to overlook because they can remain on a break-room wall for years without anyone reviewing them.

Employers should include poster compliance in regular HR reviews.

NAE can help businesses conduct an HR Audit covering workplace notices and broader HR compliance practices.
