But when I saw all the lists and pages of information, I quickly understood that unless I already knew what I wanted, this wouldn’t help me at all. If I did know what I needed, I wouldn’t even need the program. Do you see the problem? It’s a vicious cycle.

I found that payroll software with HR add-ons didn’t offer much help. SHRM was similar. The free information didn’t help me either. When I paid a fee, I was told to speak to an attorney — they don’t give advice. In the end, I was out $250.

Sigh.
